Dispensary Asset Protection

A dispensary combines customer facing retail operations with controlled business areas and product responsibilities. Security personnel may be present around the entrance and customer areas while management remains responsible for sales, inventory records and the conduct of the licensed business. Asset protection identifies the security concerns relevant to that environment without confusing those roles.
Asset Concerns Within a Retail Dispensary
Paradigm’s existing dispensary services include armed guarding, entry responsibilities, loss prevention support and incident documentation. The suitability of these services is considered in relation to the actual business. The description does not assume that all dispensaries require the same assignment or that any one security role satisfies every requirement imposed on the operator.
Product and Cash Related Security Support
Dispensary asset protection can address concerns about unauthorized access, theft related incidents and the security presence around product and cash. Officers can communicate observations to the authorized management contact and document incidents within the agreed role. A clear service scope helps the operator understand what the security team is responsible for.
That scope does not automatically include cash custody, inventory reconciliation, cannabis transport or responsibility for the business’s regulatory records. Those are separate functions that must be confirmed with the appropriate provider. A K9 detection service should not be treated as an inventory count or proof of product quantity, and it is not represented as such here.
Clear Boundaries Between Premises and Transport
Premises protection and transporting cannabis are different activities. A security presence at a dispensary does not establish authorization to distribute cannabis. The California Department of Cannabis Control states that transporting cannabis and cannabis products requires a distribution license. Any proposed transport arrangement must therefore be considered separately from the guard assignment.
Paradigm can review inquiries involving both premises security and transport related security support. The assessment establishes the requested role and confirms which services are available. This page does not claim that Paradigm holds a cannabis distribution license, operates an armored fleet or takes custody of every consignment.
Dispensary Asset Protection Across Both Counties
Paradigm serves licensed cannabis businesses in Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County. Coverage is subject to the proposed assignment and the lawful operation of the business at its location. A consultation allows the operator to describe its concerns and distinguish inventory related security support from general customer and facility security.
Contact Paradigm to review your dispensary and the asset concerns affecting the business. We will clarify the responsibilities of the security assignment, its relationship with management and any related service that needs separate confirmation. BSIS publishes California security guard registration and training requirements. Those requirements are separate from the operator’s cannabis business licensing responsibilities.
